Summer Day In Mont-Tremblant

This past weekend we drove to Mont-Tremblant for the day. The city of Mont-Tremblant is located in the province of Quebec and it’s two hours by car north-east of Ottawa and one and a half hour north-west of Montreal. Mont-Tremblay is a popular ski resort but it’s also well-known for other activities such as hiking and cycling. We arrived in Mont Tremblant and stopped for lunch in Saint-Jovite, the centre of the village proper at the foot of the mountain. Saint-Jovite’s main street (rue de Saint-Jovite) is lined with restaurants, cafés, and a few home decor and souvenir shops.    We had a delicious smoked salmon and asparagus croque-monsieur with a fresh salad at Les Copains d’Abord (Friends First). Just as we were getting in our car after lunch we had a surprising encounter with two beautiful deer crossing our path. We drove to a nearby bike rental place and set to explore one of Mont-Tremblant’s beautiful bike trails.
